300B Mini
300B Mini suit the needs of two apparently opposite customer groups:
1. Those who prefere light power tube amps - because 300B Mini are high sensitivity speakers with 8 - ohm impedance.
2. Those who like to play music at high volumes "live" - the model features high sensitivity and continues power.
A lot of audiophiles tired about the sound of typical contemporary loudspeakers are looking for a different sound - opened and dynamic. On the other hand not a lot of them have huge amplifier of several hundred watts which would be able to (at least theoretically) handle with speakers of low sensitivity.
That's why we see the comeback of old, examined solutions - large paper bass driver combined with horn mid-range driver and horn tweeter.
However, those solutions have disadvantage - unaccepted by real music lover decreased quality of high range. It is caused by storage power created by horn systems.
300B Mini, by incorporating dome drivers, but at the same time effective, mid-range driver and tweeter brings together the best features of good vintage (sensitivity) and modern speakers (high power and small distortion).
Technical details:
1. The motor of 10-inch bass driver weigh just 21 grams - 2 up to 3 times less than in typical conteporary drivers of the same diameter.
2. 2-inch mid-range driver coil - enabling to gain high volume without distortion and sound compression.
Suggested listening height: tweeter axis - 20cm
Suggested listening room size: 15-100 m2.
